Glimpses of Vajrayana: Sacred World

The Durham Shambhala Center is offering classes in the Buddhist Path series, designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the Tibetan Buddhist Path from the foundational teachings through an introduction to Vajrayana.
This is the final class in our year-long Buddhist Path series. This class will include meditation practice, dharma talks, video clips, and discussion. We will be introducing general themes of vajrayana such as sacred world, mandala principle, mantra, ngondro, sadhana, and more.
This is an introductory class about vajrayana. Students in this class will not be receiving any permissions or empowerments to practice vajrayana.
Prerequisites include both the Foundations and Going Beyond classes in the Buddhist Path series or prior study of both Hinayana and Mahayana. If you have questions, please contact [email protected].
