Shamatha and vipashyana alone are the iron hook that will lead you to liberation.

- Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

This three-day retreat is open to all practitioners who are serious about the path of meditation, whether you are new to meditation or an experienced vajrayana practitioner. Our practice will be guided by the meditation instructions of great lineage masters, including Jamgon Kongtrul the Great, Suzuki Roshi, and Chögyam Trungpa.

We will look at the subtle attitudes that make one's meditation effective, the learning process that makes traditional teachings relevant and intimate, and how meditation can transform one's approach to life.

For vajrayana practitioners, the ability to rest the mind in stillness is an essential basis for all other practices, including sadhana, guru yoga and mind nature.

Most of the retreat will be in silence, with times for questions and discussion. Morning coffee and tea and lunch will be provided on-site. Early registration is encouraged, and priority will be given to those who commit to the entire retreat.

Vajrayana students who also register for The Pith Instructions of Chögyam Trungpa One Day Vajrayana Retreat can pay a combined price of $275 for both retreats.
