The Medicine Buddha is an ancient practice that has been taught in Chinese, Japanese and Tibetan Buddhism. This introduction will be from the Tibetan Buddhist perspective.

Medicine Buddha practice promotes states of mental and physical health or balance, not only for our own benefit but for the benefit of others as well.

The day will include teachings on visualization and mantra practice and how these relate to shamatha and vipassana meditation. We will have several opportunities for guided group practice of a very inspiring and healing Medicine Buddha meditation.

This teaching is open to all levels of practitioners.

Meditation Teacher Sasha Loring has been presenting dharma programs for over 30 years. She has spent several years in retreat and has focused on healing practices through these teachings as well as through her psychotherapy training. She studied the Medicine Buddha and other teachings for 12 years with meditation master Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso, Rinpoche.

Cost: $75 + teaching gift. Includes a text and lunch.
