Deepening Your Practice

A week retreat is a wonderful opportunity to fully focus on meditation in ways you can’t do in daily life. A week of practice is both challenging and rewarding and requires a full commitment of time and intention. In this week we will be guided in practices that enhance mental and physical wellbeing, including shamatha/ vipassana meditation, compassion practices, and gentle yoga and chi gong.

You will also be expected to spend an hour each evening (at home) studying dharma materials that will be provided. The schedule will be 8:30 to 5:00 each day, and a vegetarian lunch and afternoon tea snack will be provided.

There will be four days spent mostly in silence. If you can make a full commitment to these guidelines, please join this opportunity to deepen your practice and to allow your basic goodness to fully shine.

Leader Sasha Loring has been teaching meditation for over 30 years and has presented programs around the country. She has spent several years in retreat, and currently teaches the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program, Shambhala Training, and programs on healing.
